At the cottage

The weekend I just had was awesome! We
rented a cottage for the weekend and we were a lot of people. I'd like to start this blog message by giving thanks to our good friend, and certainly one of my best friends, Boyle. Thank you Boyle for organising this weekend because it was, how can I put this in words, LEGEN...(wait for it)...DARY!!! It was so much fun and also because of the rest of the people who were there and made this weekend what it was. Thank you all!

Ok enough with the thank you's. So many things happened but today I'll be talking about the main events and a couple of useless stuff also. Here is what will be on the menu for today:
Chapters
1. Vodka Gummybears
2. Volleyball tournament
3. Flip the cup Tournament
4. Good sportsmanship Award
5. There's an unwritten code in Canada. If you life by it, chances are;
6. Nightrider
7. Harold and Kumar

Let's start!

1. Vodka Gummy bears

Boyle and I had prepared some Vodka Gummy bears about 4 days prior to the weekend. If you don't know what vodka Gummy bears are, then refer yourself to the title of this chapter and use your logic. For those still not able to put the pieces of the puzzle together, here is an explanation:

- Put gummy bears in a jar
- Add Vodka
- Let gummybears absorb vodka
- Eat

Anyways, it was the first time I had ever had Vodka Gummybears and they were pretty good. Very sweet but we had sooo much beer that our stomachs didn't care about the sweetness of these gummybears. Be carefull when consuming tasty treats like these because they can be dangerous! Fortunately, Boyle and I are so intelligent that we know our limits... ok that's a lie, sometimes we don't :-S but this time we did :-D

2. Volleyball tournament

This tournament was awesome! It was filled with intensive trash talk, cool moves, people always carrying the ball, sexy weather, and most of all... my team kicked the other team in the nards! Both teams had 5 players. Let's describe them when it comes to this volleyball tournament.

Team "A"

Boyle: He is known for being a big trash talker. Don't get me wrong, it's okay to be a trash talker when you play sports, but make sure you're actually good at that sport or else your trash talk goes to waste. Right buddy? haha

Flare: He was actually really good at diving in the sand. Sucks for his team that it never lead to any points. And Flare, next time you want to throw yourself in the sand as much, don't put as much sun screen, you really looked like the sand man. That was almost your nik-name in my blog.

Jo-Prots: He was the biggest guy on their team... Good in front of the net... And probably the best guy on that team for serving the ball. Good job Jo-Prots.

Piel: Piel Piel Piel, what can I say... no seriously, what can I say??? I'm sorry I kicked sand in your face! ha ha!

Emmaysee: You gotta love this guy when he plays sports.. It's like watching TV... on the comedy channel! haha Finally a guy who trash talks but has a reason too... Still, not enough to beat us brother ;-)

Team "B"

Shawn Marino: Hmmm... solid player... funny services... holy shit do I ever carry the ball. It's not my fault, I was injured to a finger! and..I didn't know what carrying the ball meant lol.

Sylvester: The Italian Stallion sure knew how to pull out his stallion strength in this tournament! Very solid player who knows his way around the volleyball court. Thanks for teaching me how to receive the ball bro!

Neo: The reason this guy is called Neo is cause he pulled a sick matrix move on the court. The ball was going way out and he ran and bicycle-kicked the ball onto the other side and we ended up winning that point. It was the craziest volleyball move I had ever seen in my life. Good job Neo. Awesome games!

Fajitas: He certainly knows how to stretch before a game... And with his flashy shorts, it definitely helped distract the other team!

Gilligan: Wow! Gilligan's 6 points in a row with torpedo services to come back and win game 5 and the series. I still can't believe it. You da man Gilligan!

So this is briefly how it went. We were leading the 4 in 7 series 3-1 and this was game 5. It was the first team to get 25 points that won the game. They were leading 24 to 20 and we had the serve. Gilligan was the server. The other team was trash talking so much that they started to lose focus. Next thing you know, it's 24-24 and Gilligan shoots another torpedo their way and we take the lead 25 to 24. At that point, to win the game, we had to take the lead by 2 points. Our fate was decided by the one and only, the famous, the torpedo king... GILLIGAN!!! VICTORY!!! I'm telling you right now that the trash talk from the other team went to the trash where it belongs!

3. Flip the cup Tournament

Here is how this all went down. We had 2 teams competing for the Flip the cup title with a 4 in 7 series again. The teams were almost the same as our Volleyball teams. The only difference is that Emmaysee was with our team for the first 3 games and then we sent him to his home team because we had just lost those 3 games and we needed to blame it on someone! Our plan deemed successful because we won the next game... The game after that too... aaaaaand we also won game 6 to bring it to game 7! One thing I wan't to point out here is that Emmaysee, the guy that usually wins everything, had just lost 4 out of 5 games in volleyball and 6 out of 6 games in flip the cup. The irony of it all...HE'S THE ONLY ONE THAT DOESN'T DRINK! He had water! hahaha Good'ol Emmaysee, you gotta love this guy :-P Anyway, we ended up losing game 7... Damn lol

4. The "Good sportsmanship" Award

This weekend's good sportsmanship trophy goes to ........(drumroll)......... PIEL!!! Piel kept an awesome attitude the whole way throughout our games. I remember distinctively him saying just before starting game 7 of the Flip the cup tournament; "Les gars, j'veux juste vous dire avant qu'on fasse game 7, que aujd on a eu fuckin du fun pi l'autre team était bon au volley pi ils sont bon au flip the cup acause de leur comeback fou pi si ils gagnent, ils le méritent. Cheers les boys!" Roughly translated, this means; "God I wish I was on the other team!" hahaha  No no he said: Boys, before we start game 7, I just wanna say that today we had a lot of fun and the other team was very good at volleyball and are also good at flip the cup because of an awesome comeback and if they win this, they deserve it. Cheers boys!" This is the attitude of a guy who deserves this trophy so please join me in congratulating him for his award.

5. There's an unwritten code in Canada. If you life by it, chances are;

You've learned to save a beer when your stupid dance moves almost knocks it over.
(there are gonna be many of those as you keep reading my blog in the future)
(to be continued)

6. Nightrider

Who taught us all what "nightrider" is? Oh yeah, it was Boyle! This is how he described it:

You know when you're having sexual relations with a woman and the position you are engaging with her is the one where she is leaning in the form of an arch whilst you stand, facing her posterior and then you penetrate her in this position? (ok...the way he said that was not exactly the same as I just wrote it, it was a little dirtier.) Well, as you're doing that, when she's not looking, you place your hands ans if doing a mask for your face and you gently repeat the word " nightrider nightrider nightrider " .

I thought that was pretty funny so I wanted to spread the word with everybody... Good job Boyle. In fact, this weekend we were taking a group picture of everyone doing Deadmau5 ears and you can see in this picture that I was the one doing nightrider. We all really laughed once we saw the picture :-P

7. Harold and Kumar

We were lucky enough to have the Portugese and Chinese version of "Harold and Kumar" at the cottage. Two funny guys, always with each other, bla bla bla... at one point, there was even one of them sitting in the sink. Anyways I don't have that much to say about them because they spent most their time in their room on the top part of the cottage. :-P Harold and Kumar...hahaha
